Boat Shell - Structural Testing

In order to reduce the use of material, the primary structure involves three major beams. The secondary structure is timber, which acts as reinforcement for the primary structure and support of plastic membrane.

Special double net as secondary structure.
With the system imported to structural analysis program called 'multiframe', the weakest point of the entire system can be found. Thus, proceed to designing and reinforcing the particular point or joint.

Frame imported from Sketchup.

Stress test result.
Deflection test result.

The whole system is stabilized via footing connected to the ground, in which all elements of the architecture work together. This not only contributes to efficient allocation of resources, but also is a cost effective method for the budget.
